We have a garden????
Dear friends,
A couple of months ago my daughter, Carlie, asked if I would help her put a garden in. Well as many of you know me, this was a dificult decision as I would much rather swing by the local fruit and veggie stand to have fresh produce.
Carlie's big brown eyes and persuasive personality got the best of dad so off to the local hardware store we went, buying and renting equipment. The whole family got involved. Since we put the garden in, Carlie has been very good about watering it every day.
The Saturday of the 4th weekend the garden needed to be weeded (again I could think of many other things to be doing)...As we weeded together I was reminded of weeds--sin in our lives--and was able to spend time talking to Carlie, Drew, and Grace about the weeds in our lives. God is pretty amazing if we simply listen and put aside our desires and wants.
