Holland-Lake Macatawa
Holland State Park
Holland State Park offers an expansive, sandy beach along Lake Michigan, two large campgrounds and a beautiful view of sailboats and sunsets. The park is divided into two separate units, one along Lake Michigan and the other along Lake Macatawa, each with its own campground. The Lake Macatawa campground is a traditional campground offering 211 campsites, while the Beach campground is nestled between sand dunes with 98 paved campsites and 31 full hook-up sites. Both campgrounds are within 50 feet of swimming beaches. The Lake Macatawa campground is only a half mile from Lake Michigan.
Ottawa Beach
This resort community was platted and development began in 1886. Ottawa Beach is a unique combination of forested dunes, Lake Macatawa shorelines and fine sand beaches. Victorian cottages shelter a vibrant community where residents and visitors can relax with friends or explore the walks, dunes and waterways.
Tunnel Park
This park has an extensive beach plus picnic areas, two picnic shelters, four sand volleyball courts, a children’s playground complete with a dune climb, and a dune stairway with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.
Mt. Pisgah Dune Boardwalk
The towering dune east of the Holland State Park is newly accessible thanks to a new boardwalk and stair system completed in the summer of 2008. With its apex 157 feet above Lake Michigan, the boardwalk culminates with breathtaking views of Lake Macatawa, marinas, Lake Michigan and Big Red.
Laketown Beach
The lengthy stairway at this lakeside location provides incredible vistas and access to Lake Michigan. It also helps protect the fragile dune environment. 142nd Ave., west off 64th St.
Kirk Park
Stretching along Lake Michigan’s shoreline just north of Holland, this park boasts 66 acres of sandy beach, wooded dunes and high bluffs. Facilities include a picnic shelter, rustic lodge, playground, concession and modern rest rooms. Nature trails with wooden stairways wind through the wooded dunes and offer spectacular views of Lake Michigan.

Saugatuck
Saugatuck Dunes State Park
A day use state park for swimming, picnicking and hiking in the 880 acres. Enjoy this coastal paradise for it's beach and dunes and it's 14 miles of trails.
Mount Baldhead and Oval Beach Recreation Area
Rated among the 25 best shorelines in the world by Conde Nast’s Traveler, Oval Beach has the right combination of sand dunes, seclusion and services that create its cachet. Discover it best by riding across the Kalamazoo River on a hand-pulled chain ferry from the town of Saugatuck, climbing 282 steps to Mount Baldhead, and descending onto the grassy coastal sands. Grand Haven
Grand Haven State Park

Grand Haven City Beach—dog friendly
Sandy swimming beach with a concession stand on Lake Michigan, just south of the Grand Haven State Park beach on Harbor Drive. Dogs are allowed on the city beach at all times, except during the period that the designated swim buoys are in place. During that time dogs will be permitted on the beach south of the swim area.
North Beach Park
This popular 7 acre park offers swimming and sunbathing along 745 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. During the summer, a barrier free beach walkway is available. Visitors can also climb the wooden stairway to the top of a dune for a panoramic view of Lake Michigan
Rosy Mound Natural Area
Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high wooded dunes, foredunes, beach and a dune blowout. A 0.7 mile (one way) hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes and scenic views of woods, the dune blowout and Lake Michigan. A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail and pit toilets are located near the beach. Motor vehicle parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Rosy Mound is open year ‘round.
Muskegon

Hoffmaster State Park
Excellent location to see and learn about Great Lakes sand dunes and the plants and wildlife that live on them. Hoffmaster has some of the finest dune formations and wooded dune complexes along the Michigan western shore. The park features 3 miles of pristine beaches on Lake Michigan, a spectacular dune overlook perched atop a towering forested dune, and the famous Gillette Visitor Center known throughout the Midwest for its outstanding educational programs and attractions. Sheltered valleys between the wooded dunes and dense stands of hemlocks make excellent habitat for migrating songbirds and raptors, providing great wildlife viewing opportunities during spring and fall migrations
Norman F Kruse Park-dog friendly
Norman F. Kruse Park has about one mile of Lake Michigan Beach, with breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. This is the major picnic area with 4 picnic shelters and an accessible ramp to the beach and into the dunes. The city has allocation a section of the beach along the northern part of the park just for Dogs. Take a look at the video below and see just how fun it is!
Pere Marquette Park
Pere Marquette contains large expanse of public sandy beach bordered on the north by the Muskegon Channel. Park is the northern most end of 2.5 miles of City-owned Lake Michigan frontage. There is a 200′ handicapped walkway on the beach.
Pioneer County Park
This popular 145-acre park offers camping, swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, tennis, softball, basketball and volleyball. The park is filled with a variety of mixed oak, maple, white pine and hemlock pine trees. This is Muskegon’s largest and most popular park. Pioneer Park is located on Lake Michigan and has over 2,000 feet of white sandy beach frontage. The park is located close to Michigan's Adventure amusement park, Silversides WWI submarine, museums, theaters, summer festivals and other Muskegon County area attractions.

Muskegon State Park
Muskegon State Park on the shore of Lake Michigan has over two miles of shoreline on Lake Michigan and over a mile on Muskegon Lake. A luge run is available for winter park visitors as part of the Winter Sports Complex.
